Data Controller
Paolino Canzoneri, Palermo (Italy). Owner contact email: paolinocanzoneri@gmail.com.
No Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been appointed. Any question about the processing of personal data may be sent to the address above.
Scope
This policy applies solely to www.paolinocanzoneri.com (the Website), the personal website of the artist Paolino Canzoneri. The Website has no user registration, contact forms, comments, newsletter or direct sales. It does not collect personal data provided by users through the Website itself.
What data is processed
1. Browsing data. During normal use of the Website, the systems of the hosting provider (Aruba S.p.A.) automatically record some technical information: IP address, browser type and operating system, pages visited, date and time of the request. These are the so-called server logs, needed for the operation and security of the service. They are not linked to identified persons, but by their nature could allow the user to be identified. Legal basis: the legitimate interest of the controller in the proper functioning and security of the Website. Retention: for the technical time strictly necessary, according to the hosting provider's rules.
2. Data sent voluntarily by email. Anyone writing to the address above provides their email address, name and the contents of the message. This data is used only to reply. Legal basis: legitimate interest in following up the request. Retention: for the time needed to handle the correspondence.
3. Cookies and third-party services. The Website uses a few external services, described in the next section. The up-to-date list of cookies, with the purpose and duration of each, is in the Cookie Policy, generated and kept up to date by Cookiebot.
Third-party services used by the Website
Cookiebot (Usercentrics A/S, Denmark) – the banner that asks for cookie consent on the first visit and stores the choice in a technical cookie (CookieConsent) lasting twelve months. It is necessary for the operation of the Website and does not require consent. Privacy policy: cookiebot.com.
Bandcamp (Bandcamp Inc., United States) – some pages embed Bandcamp audio players for listening to the tracks. The players are loaded only after the user's consent; once loaded they may set their own cookies and transmit the IP address and browsing data to Bandcamp, with a transfer to the United States. Privacy policy: bandcamp.com/privacy.
Google Fonts (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland) – the Website's typeface is loaded from Google's servers. In doing so the browser communicates the user's IP address to Google. Google Fonts sets no cookies. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
PayPal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, Luxembourg) – the Website contains a link to a PayPal page for donations. The link leads away from the Website: any data is processed by PayPal under its own privacy policy, and the Website receives none of it.
The Website does not use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics), tracking pixels, advertising or profiling cookies.
Purposes of processing
The data described above is processed solely to: allow the technical operation and security of the Website; reply to those who write; allow listening to the tracks through the embedded players; comply with any legal obligation. No data is used for marketing purposes, nor transferred or sold to third parties.
Your rights
Under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), users have the right to:
- access their data (Art. 15) and obtain information about the processing;

- request its erasure (Art. 17) when it is no longer necessary;

- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21);
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing (Art. 7). Cookie consent can be changed at any time from the Cookiebot banner, which can be reopened from the link in the Cookie Policy;
- lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Art. 77), which for Italy is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it.
To exercise these rights, simply write to paolinocanzoneri@gmail.com. Requests are free of charge and are answered as soon as possible, and in any case within one month. Where necessary for the security of the data, proof of identity may be requested.
Transfer of data outside the European Union
The only transfer outside the Union concerns the Bandcamp players, which are loaded only after the user's consent. Bandcamp processes data in the United States on the basis of the safeguards provided by the GDPR for international transfers. Google Fonts is provided by Google Ireland Limited, established in the Union.
